Grounded psychotherapy in New York

Having worked in the field of addiction with recovering individuals for more than 20 years, I've developed a deep understanding of how self-soothing behaviors can often become destructive and difficult habits to break.
I received my Master of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in 2019. For the past six years, I have been working with individuals and couples, as well as facilitating groups at the Center for Intimacy Recovery. In 2023, I completed the two-year sex therapy training program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy (ICP). I continue to be a part of the Staff Therapy Group at ICP and currently serve on the curriculum committee for the incoming class in the sex therapy division.
As an anti-racist, body-positive, and sex-positive clinician, my goal is to create and promote meaningful, nonjudgmental, and compassionate relationships with my clients. Having lived through the AIDS crisis as a gay-identified man and been a member of the LGBTQ+ community in New York City my entire adult life, I have extensive firsthand knowledge of the social, psychological, and emotional pressures often placed on members of this community. I deeply value and am personally committed to fostering client-therapist relationships that are sensitive to racial and cultural diversity, including trans, gender-expansive, and non-binary individuals.
